This year, the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing will be airing across several NBCUniversal channels, including NBC, USA Network and CNBC, on the NBC Sports App and on the streaming service Peacock.
You can get access to all that Olympic coverage through Sling TV, fuboTV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV and YouTubeTV, with even more available through Peacock.
Which Sledding Sports are in the Olympics?
You’ll be able to catch the following ‘Sledding’ sports at this year’s Winter Olympics:
- Bobsled
- Luge
- Skeleton
All three sports feature one or more athletes using a sled to make their way at high speeds down a steep and icy track which winds down a mountainside. The bobsled looks like a capsule and can fit up to 4, luge involves a flat sled where one or two athletes lay down flat and steer by angling their body, and skeleton is practiced by one athlete going down the mountain head-first on a tiny sled.

Which Streaming Services Carry the Winter Olympics?
If you want full 2022 Winter Olympic Games coverage, you’ll need the following channels: NBC, USA Network and CNBC, plus a Peacock subscription for bonus content.
You can get access to the channels airing all the Olympic events using Peacock, Sling TV, fuboTV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTubeTV. Each of these streaming services unlock the NBC Sports app’s live and on-demand Olympics streams, so you can watch all the events live or on your own time.
The NBC Sports app will be airing 2100+ hours of live streams from February 2 to 20, covering all the events, including some practice and warm up sessions, and enhanced viewing experiences for some sports.
Peacock
Peacock is a super low-cost streaming service which launched in 2020 and is owned by NBCUniversal. On January 5th, NBCUniversal announced that Peacock will be the top destination for all the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics content you can handle. From February 2 – 20, Peacock premium subscribers will get access to 2800+ hours of live content, including the Opening and Closing ceremonies, competition coverage beginning two days before the Opening ceremonies, live streams and on-demand recordings of every event, NBC’s evening primetime show for the Winter Olympics, highlight reels, medal ceremonies, and more.
To be able to watch the 2022 Olympic Games on Peacock, you’ll need a premium Peacock subscription, which costs $4.99/month with ads, and $9.99/month for no ads. With either plan, you’ll be able to catch all the Olympics content, but if you have the free Peacock subscription, you’ll need to upgrade to one of the premium choices. That said, it’s still significantly cheaper than other streaming options.
Peacock premium is billed monthly and comes with a free 7-day trial, and there’s no cancellation fee if you choose to only subscribe for a couple months. You’ll get a ton of channels included in your subscription and NBC’s huge on-demand content library at your disposal.

Sling TV
To get access to all the Winter Olympics events on Sling TV, you’ll need the Sling Blue subscription for $35/month which includes NBC and USA Network, plus the News Extra add-on for $6/month to get CNBC.
With this subscription, you’ll also get channels like the Science Channel, NFL Network, Fox Sports, Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, and more. With Sling Blue, you get HD streaming, and you can have up to 3 streams at once.
