A low-cost cable replacement for streamers

Try Sling

Depending on where you live, there are many ways to watch Minnesota Wild without cable, including Sling, Vidgo, DirecTV Stream, or Fubo.

But the big variable there is where you live. Watching live sports in 2024 is a complicated business — the offerings change whether you’re in market or not.

If you live in the Minnesota Wild TV market, most events air on NHL Center Ice (Wild). NHL Center Ice (Wild) is available on streamers like Sling and Vidgo.

If you live farther away but still want to watch Minnesota Wild, most events air on NHL Center Ice (Wild), NHL Center Ice (Jets), NHL Center Ice (Stars), NHL Center Ice (Blackhawks), NHL Network, Bally Sports North and Minnesota Wild: NHL Center Ice. You can get access on Sling, Vidgo, DirecTV Stream, and Fubo.

Pair your streaming subscription with a VPN like ExpressVPN (or read more about our other top VPN picks) to watch all the games — regardless of blackout region.

If you just want to watch national broadcasts, our team’s pick for most people to watch Minnesota Wild, is Sling. Here’s why:

  • Sling is available at the lowest monthly price point: $40.
  • Sling carries the most upcoming Minnesota Wild events — 4 of them in the next month.
  • Sling offers 3 simultaneous streams so more than one person can watch Minnesota Wild at once on the same account.
  • Sling is available in every region of the United States. (Viewers in blackout zones can access Sling with a VPN, like ExpressVPN — or one of our other top VPNs.)

But if Sling doesn’t work for you, no need to stress. We also found 3 other ways to watch Minnesota Wild without cable.

Region-blocked pick: Watch Minnesota Wild on Sling with ExpressVPN

If you are live in the same city as the Minnesota Wild or outside of the United States, you could have a hard time watching Minnesota Wild on Sling. Why? Sports are among the most difficult events to watch live without cable because of the limits placed on regional sports markets.

In this case, the surest way to watch Minnesota Wild is with a VPN. It’s not very complicated. You simply need to join a server in a region where Minnesota Wild games are available on Sling and sign up for a Sling account if you don’t already have one. Then you can watch to your heart’s content — wherever you are in the world.

The most premium VPN is ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN isn’t the cheapest VPN on the market, but it is the option that makes watching Minnesota Wild the easiest — with servers in nearly 100 countries. But if you’d like to consider other VPN options, read about our top VPN picks.

How to bet on Minnesota Wild games

Want to get some action on today’s Minnesota Wild game? Flixed has partnerships with the best legal sportsbooks to give you great offers to bet on the Minnesota Wild at BetMGM, DraftKings, WynnBET, and more. See below for the best sportsbook promos in your state to bet on Minnesota Wild moneyline, point spread, total, props and more.

Minnesota Wild Odds

If you open up your favorite sportsbook app (especially BetMGM) to bet on the Wild you’ll see a number of different types of bets you can make. Below you’ll learn about each type of wager so you can make the most information bet on the Wild.

Wild Spread

The point spread, or simply “spread”, is a type of bet that involves the number of points a team is expected to win (or lose) by. Below is an example of a point spread in a Minnesota Wild game.

  • Wild -6.5 (-110)

  • Canadiens +6.5 (-110)

In this example the Wild is the favorite, meaning they are expected to win the game specifically by 6.5 points. We know half points don’t exist, but in the above example the Wild would need to win by 7 or more points for a bet on them to win. If they win by less than 6 points, the Canadiens will have covered the spread and a bet on them would win. The numbers after the spread are the odds you would get on that bet, in this case -110. That means that if you bet $11 on the Wild and they won by 7, you’d win $10.

Wild Moneyline

A moneyline bet is the simplest bet you can make - it is simply a bet on whichever team you think will win the game outright. Because there is no point spread to handicap the teams to account for differences in quality, the odds on either team will vary more drastically based on how big of a competitive mismatch oddsmakers believe the game is. Below is an example of a Wild moneyline:

  • Wild -275

  • Canadiens +220

The +/- indicate the favorite and the underdog, similar to with the point spread. In this case the Wild would be considered the favorite to win the game at -275 and the Canadiens would be the underdog at +220. The differences in odds are a reflection of how good the Wild are compared to the Canadiens. In this case, a $27.50 bet on the Wild would only win you $10 if they win the game. Conversely, to win the same $10 betting on the underdog, you’d only need to wager roughly $4.50.

Learn more about these types of bets and sports betting terms in our Sports Betting Glossary!

Wild Total (Over/Under)

The total, or over/under (o/u), is a type of bet that is based around the total number of points scored in the game by both teams combined. Below is an example of a total bet in a Minnesota Wild game:

  • Wild vs Canadiens Total: 49

    • Over 49 (-110)
    • Under 49 (-110)

A bettor will either bet over or under on the total provided. If you bet the over, the combined score of both teams would need to be greater than 49 points for that bet to win. Conversely, if the total combined points is less than 49, the under would win. If the total lands on exactly 49 points, that is called a push and you would receive your stake back. Again, the -110 are the odds you get on either side of the total, in this case an $11 bet would win you $10.

Wild Prop Bets

Prop, or proposition, bets are types of bets that pertain to a specific player, event, or game statistic. These bets can be over a specific game or the entire season. There are a few different types of prop bets - player props, game props, team props, and novelty props. Below are examples of prop bets in a Minnesota Wild game:

  • Wild RB to record over 59.5 rushing yards - Player Prop

This bet is similar to a total in that you can bet the over or the under on the total rushing yards set. In this case, the above wager is that the Running Back for the Wild will rush for 60 yards or more. This is a player prop because it pertains to a specific player’s performance.

  • Wild vs Canadiens to combine for over 4.5 touchdowns - Game Prop

This bet again is similar to a total bet in that you can bet the over or the under on the total number of touchdowns set. In this case, the above wager is that both teams will score a combined 5 touchdowns or more in the game. This is a game prop because it pertains to a combined stat for both teams for the duration of the game.

  • Wild to score over 22.5 points - Team Prop

Again, we see our familiar format of the total bet where we are able to wager on the over or under of a specific stat or number. In this case, we are betting that the Wild will score 23 or more points in this game, regardless if they win or lose. This is a team prop because it pertains to the performance of only one team and not on the outcome of the game.

  • Color of the Gatorade Bath Blue - Novelty Prop

These bets are most popular during major game and championship events like the Super Bowl. In the bet above, we are wagering that the color of the Gatorade dumped on the winning coach to be blue. These bets typically have very low limits, meaning you can’t bet large amounts on them. Other popular novelty props are the length of the national anthem, who the MVP of the game will thank first, the number of times a certain phrase is mentioned during the broadcast, and more.

Want to jump in and start wagering? BetMGM has the best offers on Wild odds and prop bets.
