Watch BET on Philo

One of the newest competitors on the block, Philo is also an extremely attractive option for BET fans. Philo offers only a single package of channels for $20/month with 7 days free trial. You’ll get 60+ channels, including BET, as part of your subscription. No contract, you are free to cancel the subscription anytime. You can add Starz for $9/month and Epix for $6/month as additional channels.
Philo only costs $20-per-month and comes with BET and 60 other channels. There are several other benefits to this service if you choose it as your go-to streaming service.
61 Channels 7-day free trial $20.00/ month | 61 channels Starz and Epix add-ons 3 simultaneous streams 30-Day DVR | SIGN UP |
Philo Channels
Alongside BET, Philo offers some popular entertainment networks. You’ll get BET Her, Discovery Channel, History Channel, AMC, CMT, A&E, Science Channel, and more. As stated earlier, which channels you get depends on the package you choose. Note that Philo does not carry sports, local broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, or NBC, and has very limited news options. For more information on Philo channels, check here.
Philo Supported Devices
Philo has a growing number of supported devices, but there are notable limitations. For example, you can’t stream directly from an Android app, but you can use the dedicated Chrome browser. iOS and Apple devices are supported with individual apps, however. Other devices include:
- TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up), Amazon Fire TV (all models), Chromecast and Roku (all current models)
- Smart TVs: Android TV (5.0 and up)
- Mobile devices and tablets: Android (7.0 and up, Chrome browser), iOS (10.3 and up)
- Game consoles: None
- Desktop browsers: Most Mac and PC browsers
Check here for more information on Philo’s supported devices.
Philo Simultaneous Streams
Philo offers a rather impressive 3 simultaneous streams per account. This is far more than the industry average of just 2 streams, and more than most competitors without having to pay more for the privilege. To learn more about Philo’s simultaneous streams, click here.
Philo DVR
Philo offers a rather generous DVR even with its low entry price. You can record an unlimited amount for 30 days. You’ll also get other DVR benefits and on-demand features. Check here to learn more about Philo’s DVR.
Philo On-Demand Library
Philo’s on-demand library is extensive. You’ll have access to most content from Philo’s channels even without having to hit record on your DVR. Different channels offer various amounts of content on demand, and for varying amounts of time. Furthermore, you can use your Philo login to get access to different streaming apps for different services, opening up a wider library of on-demand content than that’s available directly through Philo. Watch BET on Sling TV

Sling TV is among the cheapest options available, with the largest amount of add-on services. Owned by Dish Network, the service has effectively “defined” what a la carte TV currently looks like.

- Smart TVs: LG TV (Web OS 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0, as well as select 2016-2018 models), Samsung TV (2016 through 2018 models), Android TV (4.4 and up), Roku TV, Mi TV,

Sling TV Simultaneous Streams
Sling TV’s simultaneous streaming policy is a bit complex. You’ll get just 3 streams with Fox-channel-focused Sling Blue, but you’ll get just one with ESPN-focused Sling Orange. If BET is your focus, you’ll need Sling Orange or Sling Orange + Blue, but you’ll still only get one stream for BET, even if you do the combination package. To learn more about Sling TV’s simultaneous streams, click here.
Sling TV DVR
Sling TV offers a 10-hour cloud DVR with the service. You can update to a 50-hour cloud DVR for an extra $5 per month. To learn more about Sling TV’s DVR, check here.
Sling TV On-Demand Library
Sling TV’s on-demand library is large, but not the largest on the market. There are thousands of videos and movies available, but your best benefit with Sling TV will be the option to use your login information on various channels’ websites and individual apps. That will let you access on-demand content from dozens of channels, with content currently unavailable in Sling TV’s on-demand library. To learn more about Sling TV’s on-demand library, check here.

Watch BET on Vidgo

Although lesser-known and new to the market, Vidgo is a great option to watch BET live without cable thanks to its cost and channel options.
Vidgo Pricing and Packages
Between the four available streaming packages Vidgo offers, the two that provide BET include the $45 per month Core Package (65+ channels), and the $55 per month Plus Package (90+ channels). Because both packages have BET, your choice between the two will be based on price or additional channels. Learn more here.
Vidgo Channels
Alongside BET, Vidgo’s packages offer a wide selection of sports, entertainment, news, and lifestyle networks with Vidgo. Popular channels like Fox Sports, ESPN, VH1, MTV, and CMT are included in both the Core and Plus packages. If you want additional music options, the Plus package is your go-to option as Vidgo adds in MTV Classic, MTV 2, and CMT Music at that level. Learn more here.
Vidgo Supported Devices
You can stream Vidgo on several popular streaming devices. Download and watch Vidgo live and on-demand using iOS devices, Android devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV. The service also has a native app for AndroidTV devices, like the Nvidia Shield.
Vidgo Simultaneous Streams

Vidgo On-Demand Library
Almost every channels in your Vidgo line-up provides on-demand content through Vidgo’s interface. Vidgo supports a small number of TV Everywhere apps that allow you to log in with your credentials for more on-demand or live content. Thankfully, BET is among Vidgo’s limited TV Everywhere partnerships.

BET Website and BET Now App – Live Streaming and On-Demand Content

Looking for BET on-the-go? You can use the BET website and BET Now app to find free on-demand content and full episodes or to watch live streams of BET without cable. For some full episodes, you don’t even need a TV subscription of any kind. However, if you want to watch BET live, you’ll need login credentials from a pay-TV provider, or an internet TV skinny bundle service like Philo or Sling. The benefit of doing so is that you can bypass the simultaneous streaming restrictions with each service.
For example, AT&T TV Now and Sling TV Orange, which have 2 device and 1 device streaming limits, respectively, do not count BET live streaming via the app or website against your simultaneous streams. This means you can watch BET whenever you want, without worrying about running into any issues with streaming on too many devices at once.
