  1. Cool thanks for this but I’m having problems with es file explorer. On my fire stick I was able to link my Google drive and life was great. However I recently upgraded to the fire tv box and e’s file explorer will not let me link my drive.
I experimented and downloaded es on my phone and it did let me link my drive there but not on my fire tv. I’ve been searching everywhere for a way around this. Any suggestions?

    • Hi Scott, thanks for checking in. Please let me know of Total Commander works. I’m unsure about how of how Fire TV Box would be different than the Fire TV Stick in regard to operating system, so there shouldn’t conceivably be any problems using ES File Explorer between the two devices (but I wouldn’t rule it out).

      • It feels like it’s a Google issue and not an es file explorer issue. All the other cloud links function as normal. The google drive link shows an error message saying its a disallowed user agent.

Hi Sam just tried to install google play on my Fire TV 2 and I get an Error saying this app isn’t compatiable with your device. To fix this problem, go to settings and uninstall updates for the google Play Store App. I followed your guide exactly but I am now stuck, can you offer me any advice please. (I only need google play store to download one paid app, as it does not transfer across as a full paid app with apps2fire) 🙁

  3. I downloaded all the files with ES explorer and tried to install with “certified installer” all the Google apks but it doesn’t seem like anything happens? Then opening play movies it says “won’t run without G services”…the I tried installing with Amazon Package installer and it says “problem parsing”

I’m wondering if it because I have gen 1 firestick?

  4. I followed your instructions for best method and downloaded the google files in ES Explorer. I tried to open watch espn and it still says that I need google play and that my device does not support this. What am I doing wrong?

  5. Hi Sam I installed Joi tv app and it opens properly but I am unable to play any channel. So please suggest a solution to it.
