Local channels are one of the things that keep some people from cutting the cord. However, many internet TV services now offer not just cable TV, but local affiliates for the major broadcast networks, such as FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, and more. Fubo is one such service offering popular local channels in select markets. Read on for a list of the Fubo local channels that may be available in your area, and how to find the list of local channels you can get with Fubo.

As with most internet TV services, the entertainment and news cable channels are available all across the country, but local channels (including regional sports networks) will vary based on your location. From a high level, however, there’s a chance that you may be able to receive some or all of the following local broadcast networks from Fubo:

  • ABC
  • NBC
  • CBS
  • FOX
  • The CW
  • Telemundo
  • UniMas
  • Univision
  • AT&T Sportsnet
  • Estrella TV
  • MyNetworkTV (very limited locations)

The local channels you receive from Fubo will vary by zip code. You may even find that some networks available one city over aren't available in your own city. Fubo allows you to enter your zip code to figure determine what networks you receive.

In some cases, you will find what Fubo labels a Fox channel FOXNET. This is a national FOX broadcast network that you’ll receive if Fubo was unable to secure broadcast rights for a local FOX broadcaster in your region. There’s a similar option available for NBC, called NBC East or NBC West. In those cases, you’ll get a national version of NBC instead of a local one.

For both FOXNET and NBC East/West, NFL broadcasts will be unavailable.

The service also offers several regional sports networks (RSNs). As with most of its competitors, Fubo does not carry Sinclair-owned Fox Sports RSNs. However, it does currently provide the following:

  • AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburg AT&T Sportsnet Southwest
  • MSG
  • MSG +
  • NBC Sports Bay Area
  • NBC Sports Boston NBC Sports California
  • NBC Sports Chicago
  • NBC Sports Chicago +
  • NBC Sports Northwest
  • NBC Sports Philadelphia
  • NBC Sports Philadelphia +
  • NBC Sports Washington NESN SNY - Sportsnet New York

How do I check my local channel list for Fubo?

There are two easy ways to determine what Fubo local channels are available to you. The first is to simply head over to Fubo and look at the available channels. Fubo will identify your location and serve up a channel listing based on your current city. However, you can also easily find your local channels by going to Fubo’s dedicated FAQ page for local channels. Simply search the page (ctrl+F) for your city to see which channels are available.

Live TV recording on Fubo

You get 1,000 hours of Fubo cloud DVR with every Fubo package except for the Latino package, which offers 250 hours of cloud DVR storage. Your DVR can be used to record on any channel available through Fubo, including local networks like FOX and NBC.

However, some recording restrictions will apply. You may not be able to record some major sporting events on local channels, for example. And you may find that fast-forwarding through ads is blocked for some shows or some channels. Additionally, Fubo notes that there may be some DVR restrictions that are unique to certain devices.

How do I get local channels not found on Fubo?

You may be slightly disappointed with the Fubo local channels in your region. There are some options to expand your local channel availability, however. You could purchase a digital over-the-air (OTA) antenna, which will let you watch any local channel broadcasting in your area, for free. An OTA DVR will also let you record for free with no restrictions.

However, a good option is also to compare Fubo with other streaming services. Our Cord Cutter Express tool lets you input your desired channels, including network channels like FOX and NBC, and then offers a visual comparison of different, popular services based on the channels you pick. It’s easy to use and takes just a few minutes to get a full comparison of different streaming services and their channel lineups.
