In the three years since ESPN Plus made its streaming debut, the platform has served sports fans with athletic action from every corner of the sports world — cricket, rugby, soccer, golf, and boxing, just to name a few. However, the network’s focus on mixed martial arts has made it a standout service for combat sports fans.
In 2019, ESPN Plus signed a 5-year deal with the UFC, claiming exclusive rights to broadcasting UFC events in the United States. This means that tuning in to ESPN Plus is the only way fighting fans can stay up-to-date with their favorite sport.
The service comes at a reasonable $6.99 a month; however, pay-per-view UFC events are not included in the standard ESPN Plus package and must be purchased separately. These coveted ESPN events are priced at $69.99 each and take place about once a month.
Pay-per-view events include all of the best UFC fighters, as the main fight on the card is typically a battle over the championship belt. UFC pay-per-view events are not to be confused with UFC Fight Nights, which are available for free to anyone with an ESPN Plus subscription. These events occur two or three times a month leading up to the main events.

What streaming services have UFC?
ESPN Plus is the only service that allows you to stream live UFC pay-per-view events and UFC Fight Nights. The network’s exclusive deal with the UFC means that ESPN Plus is the home of professional fighting and the only place that you can access it.
There’s virtually no chance that the UFC will come to any other streaming service in the near future. The ESPN Plus and UFC deal expires in 2024, and if the partnership continues as successfully as it has been, ESPN Plus could retain its exclusive rights.
Can you watch UFC for free?
UFC Fight Nights are included in the ESPN Plus subscription, so they’re only available for the monthly subscription price of $6.99/month. Unfortunately, the platform doesn’t offer a free trial, so there’s currently no way to enjoy UFC content for free.
What is UFC about?
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was founded in 1993 and is now the biggest MMA promotion company worldwide. The organization hosts some of the largest combat sports events globally, including Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, which served as a work-around for travel restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 2001, the president of UFC has been Dana White, who has become a prominent figure of the brand. Under his guidance, the UFC flourished into the multi-billion dollar entity it is today. In 2019 he signed a new contract, solidifying his position as the President of the UFC through 2026.
Upcoming events for UFC
The next event for the UFC is UFC 269, where Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliviera will duke it out for the title of the lightweight division.
The event will take place on December 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, so mark your calendars and make sure your ESPN Plus subscription is set up and ready for the big night!
