YouTube TV Channels

YouTube TV Supported Devices

Device support for YouTube TV is also good. There is no Fire TV support, thanks to a long-standing Amazon-Google feud, but you can watch YouTube TV on iOS, Android, Roku, Chromecast, and Apple TV, as well as the Xbox One, and a wide range of smart TVs from Samsung, Hisense, VIZIO, Sharp and more. It will also add Amazon Fire TV support in late 2019. Learn more here.

YouTube TV Simultaneous Streams

YouTube TV offers a good selection of channels at a reasonable price, but where it really excels is with the features it offers. You can stream on 3 devices at once, which is better than the industry average. Learn more here.

YouTube TV DVR

YouTube TV blows the competition out of the water with its DVR service. You can record unlimited shows for up to 9 months, with no other restrictions or limitations. In addition, you can create up to 6 individual user profiles, each of which gets their own DVR. Learn more here.

YouTube TV On-Demand Library

You can get a good lineup of the latest shows, past seasons and top movies from YouTube TV, thanks to the large number of channels included in the service. Get more details here.

AT&T WatchTV Pricing and Packages

AT&T WatchTV has only a single package of channels, which cost $15/month. Some AT&T subscribers with a qualifying plan can get it for free, though. You’ll get 35+ channels in total. Learn more here.

AT&T WatchTV Channels

You’ll get a total of 35+ channels with AT&T WatchTV, mostly consisting of lifestyle and entertainment channels like Sundance TV, IFC, Food Network, HGTV, TBS, and TLC, with a few news channels like CNN. Learn more here.

AT&T WatchTV DVR

AT&T WatchTV has no DVR, and there is no way to record your shows for later viewing. Learn more here.

AT&T WatchTV On-Demand Library

You can watch a total of over 15,000 on-demand TV episodes and movies, according to AT&T. The content you’ll get rotates regularly, as it’s provided by each network included in your subscription. You can learn more here.

How to Watch Sundance TV on Amazon Fire TV

You can watch Sundance TV on Amazon Fire TV with one of these streaming services: Philo, fuboTV, Sling TV, AT&T TV Now, PlayStation Vue or AT&T WatchTV. YouTube TV will be adding Amazon Fire TV support in late 2019. To do so, simply download the app for the service you’re using from the Amazon App Store.

Alternatively, you can download the SundanceTV app for Fire TV, and log in with any of the above services, except for Sling and AT&T WatchTV. If you have YouTube TV, this is a good way to work around the service’s lack of Fire TV support.

How to Watch Sundance TV on Roku

You can watch Sundance TV on Roku with one of these streaming services: Philo, fuboTV, Sling TV, AT&T TV Now, PlayStation Vue or YouTube TV. AT&T WatchTV does not support Roku. Just add the channel for the service you’re using from the Roku Channel Store, then you’ll be all set up.

Your other option is to download the Sundance TV channel for Roku, which will let you sign in with any of the above service except for Sling TV and AT&T WatchTV.

How to Watch Sundance TV on Apple TV

You can watch Sundance TV on Apple TV with one of these streaming services: Philo, fuboTV, Sling TV, AT&T TV Now, PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, or AT&T WatchTV. Download the app for the streaming service you’ve chosen from the App store, then sign in to watch Sundance TV live on Apple TV.

You can also download the SundanceTV app for Apple TV, which will allow you to sign in with all of the above services except Sling TV and AT&T Watch TV.

Sundance TV Website & Apps

watch sundance tv without cable online apps
Source: Sundance TV

If you subscribe to Sundance TV through one of the above services, you can log into the Sundance TV website and the apps for Android, iOS, and Apple TV just like you would with a traditional cable subscription – with one exception.

While Philo, fuboTV, AT&T TV Now, Playstation Vue, and YouTube TV all support logging into the Sundance TV website and apps, Sling TV and AT&T WatchTV don’t, and it’s unclear why. Perhaps in the future, you will be able to log into Sundance TV with Sling or WatchTV, but as of publication time, this is not possible.

Why bother doing this? Well, it’s nice to have the extra flexibility, and there’s a hidden bonus to using the app or website to watch live TV – it doesn’t use up one of your streams.

For example, watching TV on the Sundance TV app wouldn’t count towards your 2-stream limit if you subscribe to AT&T TV Now. Your family or other household members could both watch a AT&T TV Now stream, and you can still watch Sundance TV live, without any interruptions.

Sundance NOW

watch sundance now online
Source: Sundance NOW

Don’t want to subscribe to an internet TV service? Unfortunately, that’s the only way to watch Sundance TV without cable. However, if you’re mostly just interested in on-demand movies and TV shows, the Sundance NOW streaming service may be right for you.

This ad-free service starts at $5/month, and offers a number of original dramas, true crime shows, and exclusive movies, like Memento, Chasing Amy, Frank, and The Two Faces of January. You won’t be able to watch Sundance TV live, but you will get many of the same shows and movies – so this is a reasonably good alternative.
