Philo’s low-cost service is great, but if you’re just not feeling the “no sports” approach to skinny bundles anymore, it may be time to cancel. For those who want to know how to cancel your Philo subscription, this guide is for you.
How to cancel your Philo subscription
You can easily cancel your Philo subscription from any device, but we recommend doing it from a desktop or laptop computer, as apps sometimes offer a limited view of your subscription settings.
1. Go to your settings (top right corner profile pic)
2. Click on the “account” tab at the top
- Scroll to the bottom and select “cancel my account”
4. Optional: Select or type in a reason for canceling
5. Finally, hit the red “CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION” button
Can I restart my Philo subscription later?
Yes! Philo will let you restart your subscription later, and you can still finish out the rest of the month of your subscription before you lose access to your favorite channels.
Are there any good Philo alternatives?
Depending on the type of service you’re looking for, there may be several alternatives that meet your needs. If you want to try a streaming service that’s slightly pricier than Philo, consider subscribing to either Sling Orange or Sling Blue.
Both Sling packages have a wide array of standard entertainment channels, which you can see in this guide from Flixed. And if you’re looking for some basic sports channels, Sling Orange has ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3.

If Philo was your primary source for Discovery Inc. channels—like Discovery, History, and HGTV—then Discovery+ might be a good on-demand alternative to watch Discovery Inc.’s large library of content.

Other great streaming alternatives to Philo
Once you’ve canceled your Philo subscription, it’s quite easy to move on to bigger and better things.
For a live TV alternative, Hulu + Live TV offers an incredibly large selection of channels for a competitive price and includes sports (which you won’t find with Philo).
