Sling TV Supported Devices

Sling TV also has great device support. Almost every streaming device you can think of has a native app, including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and more. There are also apps for LG Smart TVs, as well as Android and iOS devices.

The full list of options includes:

  • TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up), Amazon Fire TV (all versions), Chromecast, Roku (LT and up), AirTV,
  • Smart TVs: LG TV (Web OS 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0, as well as select 2016-2018 models), Samsung TV (2016 through 2018 models), Android TV (4.4 and up), Roku TV, Mi TV,

To learn more about Sling TV’s simultaneous streams, click here.

Sling TV DVR

As for video recording, Sling TV does not include a cloud DVR with any of its streaming channel packages. You can, however, add a 50-hour cloud DVR for an additional $5/month, which is fairly cheap. If your goal is to get Sling TV with DVR, you’ll be at $30/month, which is still less than any other service on our list by a large margin.

To learn more about Sling TV’s DVR, check here.

Sling TV On-Demand Library

Most channels available through Sling TV provide their content on-demand through the service. The content you get is determined by the channels, not Sling TV, however, so you may find the options somewhat limited. That said, you’ll have access to hundreds of titles automatically upon signing up, with numerous past seasons.

You can also expand your on-demand library by using your Sling TV login with TV Everywhere apps and individual channels’ websites, where available.

We round off our list with AT&T TV Now. Although particularly well known and one of the most-used options on the market, it’s not the best. That said, AT&T TV Now has been working on improving its previously lackluster features, thanks to stiff competition in the internet TV market.

AT&T TV Now Pricing and Packages

You can get FXX through AT&T TV Now’s “PLUS” package. That package comes at a cost of just $50 per month and provides 40+ channels.

AT&T TV Now Supported Devices

AT&T TV Now has fairly good device coverage. Almost every device you may want to use has a native app, and you can stream directly on the web through Windows and Mac.

You’ll be able to stream on 2 devices at once with AT&T TV Now, which is industry standard. You can increase that to 3 streams for an extra $5 per month.

To learn more about AT&T TV Now’s streaming policy, click here.

AT&T TV Now DVR

The service significantly falls behind when it comes to cloud DVR. You’ll get a 20-hour cloud DVR, which is already quite small, but AT&T TV Now also restricts videos to a 30-day expiration date as well. As a result, AT&T TV Now has the worst cloud DVR on the market.

Click here to learn more about AT&T TV Now’s DVR.

AT&T TV Now On-Demand Library

With a 72-hour rewind feature, AT&T TV Now has a good amount of on-demand content at all times. Most channels also keep their content available for weeks or months, with multiple seasons available for many hit shows on popular networks, including HBO. There are more on-demand options if you use the service’s login information to access individual channels’ TV Everywhere apps or websites.

You can use your AT&T TV Now login information to unlock even more content through most channels’ website and TV Everywhere apps.

PlayStation Vue On-Demand Library

PlayStation Vue’s on-demand content library is good, even if it’s not as extensive as you’ll find with some other services. Most channels on offer provide new release episodes on-demand, and many previous seasons of top shows. You’ll also find a wide library of movies on-demand from channels that offer them.
