WE tv is a natural fit for Philo’s lineup of lifestyle channels. Although you miss out on sports and cable news networks, the affordable subscription price makes Philo a great complement for traditional over-the-air broadcast TV.

Philo Pricing and Packages

Philo’s sole subscription plan provides a solid mix of nearly 60 channels, including WE tv.

Philo Channels

AMC Networks is one of Philo’s investors, so it’s not surprising that Philo carries WE tv as well as AMC and BBC America. Other lifestyle channels include HGTV, Food Network and TLC.

As mentioned earlier, Philo does not include sports networks, news channels or local broadcast stations. That keeps Philo very affordable but may mean other services are a better fit for your priorities.

You can learn even more about Philo’s channel lineup here.

Philo Supported Devices

Philo supports all of the major streaming platforms. The only major gaps in Philo’s app ecosystem are the gaming consoles.

  • Living room devices: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku.
  • Smart TVs and Blu-ray players: Televisions based on Fire TV, Android TV and Roku.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android and iOS.
  • Game consoles: None.
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

You can learn more about Philo’s device support here.

Philo Simultaneous Streams

Even though you can’t pay for an upgrade, Philo’s standard support for three simultaneous streams is in line with the rest of the industry. Only a few streaming services are more generous.

Learn more about simultaneous streaming on Philo here.

Philo DVR

The unlimited recording capacity of Philo’s cloud DVR ranks among the best in the industry. Unfortunately, all of those recordings have a 30-day shelf-life, after which Philo deletes them.

You’ll find more details about Philo’s cloud DVR here.

Philo On-Demand Library

Philo doesn’t produce its own content. All 30,000 hours of on-demand content all comes from the streaming service’s content providers.

You can expand your channel lineup even further by signing up for any of the dozen expansion packages. The fubo Extra plan has a mix of 30 sports, lifestyle and news channels. The Sports Plus plan gives you 23 more sports-focused channels. You also have options to add premium movie channels like Showtime and AMC Premiere.

You can learn more about fuboTV’s pricing and packages here.

fuboTV Channels

In addition to WE tv, you’ll find many channels that offer unscripted programming, including HGTV, Lifetime, TruTV and Viceland. In order to provide a broad appeal, fuboTV also offers entertainment channels, local stations and cable news networks.

Sports, however, remain fuboTV’s most distinguishing feature. The majority of the streaming service’s channel lineup consists of sports-focused networks like the Golf Channel, NFL Network and Fox Sports. You can also get 4K, high dynamic range content streamed from Fox and FS1.

The only glaring gap in fuboTV’s channel lineup is the absence of ESPN.

You can learn even more about fuboTV’s channel lineup here.

fuboTV Supported Devices

The fuboTV app ecosystem is particularly strong. In order to get a 4K video stream, however, you will need a device – and a television – that supports 4K content.

  • Living room devices: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku.
  • Smart TVs and Blu-ray players: Samsung televisions as well as devices based on Fire TV, Android TV and Roku.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android and iOS.
  • Game consoles: None.
  • Desktop browsers: Most browsers, Chrome is recommended.

You can learn more about fuboTV’s device support here.

fuboTV Simultaneous Streams

The standard subscription includes support for two simultaneous streams. A $6 monthly upgrade will let you stream to a third device.

Learn more about simultaneous streaming on fuboTV here.

fuboTV DVR

By default, fuboTV limits you to 30 hours of recorded content on its cloud DVR. As long as you stay below the cap, you can keep your recordings as long as you want. Upgrading the limit to 500 hours requires an additional $10 payment each month.

You’ll find more details about fuboTV’s cloud DVR here.

fuboTV On-Demand Library

FuboTV has begun to develop its own original content. The fuboTV Network has launched with a schedule of syndicated content and in-house sports shows. Most of the on-demand content, however, comes from fuboTV’s content providers.

Sling TV was once the leading live TV streaming service. Over the past year, however, it has fallen to the middle of the pack. A complicated subscription structure and missing channels make Sling TV less compelling today. And if you want to get WE tv, you’ll have to pay even more.

To get WE tv, you’ll have to sign up for the Lifestyle Extra expansion package for an additional $5 per month. This payment will also get you Lifetime Movies, Cooking Channel, Hallmark Drama and seven more channels. Other Extras are built around themes like Heartland, Hollywood and Kids.

For more information about Sling TV plans and pricing, click here.

Sling TV Channels

When deciding which subscription plan to get, you’ll need to pay attention to the channel lineups. Sling Orange and Sling Blue overlap quite a bit, but there are some important differences. You get ESPN and the Disney Channel with Sling Orange while Sling Blue includes sports channels as well as local NBC and Fox stations.

If you need access to CBS or ABC, however, you’re out of luck with Sling TV since those channels aren’t available.

For more information about Sling TV’s channel list, click here.

Sling TV Supported Devices

Sling TV has app ecosystem extends beyond the most important streaming platforms to include many niche devices.

  • Living room devices: Azulle Mini PC Sticks, Air TV Player, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku and Xaomi Mi TV.
  • Smart TVs and Blu-ray players: Models based on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku. Also, certain models from LG and Samsung.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Amazon Fire tablets, Android and iOS.
  • Game consoles: Xbox One.
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome.

For more information about Sling TV device support, click here.

Sling TV Simultaneous Streams

Choosing between Sling Orange and Sling Blue will determine how many devices can use your subscription at the same time. Only one device at a time can use Sling Orange. Three devices can stream Sling Bue channels simultaneously. These rules still apply even if you get the Orange+Blue plan. If someone is watching ESPN, then nobody can watch the Disney Channel.

For more information about Sling TV simultaneous streaming, click here.

Sling TV DVR

By default, you do not get a cloud DVR with Sling TV. Instead, you must pay an extra $5 per month to get a feature that all other streaming services offer for free. Even then, that additional payment only lets you record fifty hours of content.

Everyone knows YouTube as the home of user-generated content, but YouTube TV is a strong competitor in the live TV streaming business. What sets YouTube TV apart is the almost-guaranteed chance that you’ll get your local ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC stations.

YouTube TV Pricing and Packages

You’ll get about 70 channels with YouTube TV only subscription plan that costs $50 per month.

A menu of additional channels lets you expand your lineup on an à-la-carte basis, but that can get very expensive very quickly.

YouTube TV Channels

YouTube TV offers a balanced lineup of lifestyle channels like WE tv, entertainment channels like Disney XD, sports channels like NBCSN and news networks like MSNBC.

The support for local stations may be YouTube TV’s biggest differentiator. With other streaming services the availability of local ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC stations can be hit-or-miss. Those stations are available on YouTube TV in almost every market in the country.

YouTube TV Device Support

Out of all the major streaming platforms, the only one YouTube TV doesn’t support is Amazon’s Fire TV.

  • Living room devices: Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku.
  • Smart TVs and Blu-ray players: Certain models from HiSense, LG, Samsung and Sharp as well as televisions based on Android TV and Roku.

Watch WE tv on AT&T Watch TV

AT&T’s evolving streaming strategy can seem confusing. In addition to the very expensive DirecTV Now, AT&T offers the Watch TV skinny bundle. Its low price gets you a mix of lifestyle and entertainment channels similar to Philo’s. However, AT&T is really pitching Watch TV to its individual wireless customers rather than to families.

AT&T Watch TV Pricing and Packages

AT&T Watch TV only costs $15 per month unless you have one of AT&T’s unlimited wireless subscriptions. In that case, you get AT&T Watch free of charge.

You can learn more about AT&T Watch TV’s pricing and packages here.

AT&T Watch TV Channels

AT&T Watch TV includes more than 35 channels including WE tv. Other channels include MTV, TLC, HGTV and the Food Network. What you won’t get are local stations, sports networks or the major news networks.

Get more information about AT&T Watch TV’s channel lineup here.

AT&T Watch TV Supported Devices

AT&T Watch TV has a very limited number of apps. Most importantly, the streaming service does not support Roku-based devices.

  • Living room devices: Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast.
  • Smart TVs and Blu-ray players: Devices based on Amazon Fire TV.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android and iOS.
  • Game consoles: None.
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome and Safari.
