Because tomorrow night marks the beginning of the 112th edition of the Major League Baseball championship, we decided to take a look at a few of the best streaming TV addons in advance of the game.  Several of our preferred TV addons led us to working FOX TV feeds, but other old favorites (like Phoenix and cCloud TV, for example) turned out to be big disappointments.

If you want to find out the best, quickest way to watch the MLB World Series online for free, you’ll find out exactly how to find a working feed on Kodi here.  We’ve done all the hunting, pecking and fiddling around for you.

Before we Proceed

We highly recommend using a VPN when using Kodi. Kodi users have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, sports, and TV shows through various addons. If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish - a complete privacy solution for Kodi users. It's also worth noting that purchasing a 12 month subscription will give you two months free.

IPVanish and Kodi

When does the World Series start?

The first game of the 2016 World Series kicks off tomorrow night, October 25th at 8:08 PM ET on FOX.

Which Kodi addon should I use to tune in?

The absolute best Kodi addon for watching US TV networks is USTVNow.  The lite version is totally free, plus it’s a lot more stable than most Kodi TV addons.

The makers of the USTVNow addon have obtained permission to broadcast all the United States TV networks.  That’s why their links never break and the quality of their TV feeds is excellent.

Note: For best results and optimal security, we advise you to use USTVNow with a VPN. As mentioned above, our recommendation is to use IPVanish.

How to install USTVNow

The easiest way to install USTVNow is to:

  1.  Create a free USTVNow account at https://www.ustvnow.com/
  2.  Download the USTVNow zip file to your desktop
  3.  Switch to Kodi
  4.  Navigate to system → settings → addons → install from zip file
  5.  Open up USTVNow and log in

Here’s a second way to get USTVNow if you want to install the addon without leaving Kodi.

  1.  From the Kodi main menu, navigate to programsfeatured addons.

  • ABC
  • CBS
  • CW
  • FOX
  • NBC
  • PBS
  • My9

How to use USTVNow to watch the MLB World Series

Once you’re logged in to USTVNow, just click Live TV from the main menu to see what’s playing.

Right now, The Steve Wilkos Show is on.  But tomorrow, you’ll be able to tune in and watch the Chicago Cubs face off against the Cleveland Indians in the first game of the 2016 World Series.

Alternative Kodi addons for watching the 2016 World Series

Below you’ll find info about where to find links to working FOX TV feeds on OblivionPro Sports and SportsDevil.

Oblivion

Oblivion’s FOX feed doesn’t always work, but if it’s online during the game you will be able to enjoy it in 720P HD for free.

Read our Oblivion guide to learn out how to install it.

To get to FOX, open Oblivion and go to US Live TV → FOX HD.

Currently, it looks like Oblivion’s FOX HD link is alive and kicking.  It’s been going up and down over the past several days, though.

SportsDevil

Though it isn’t quite as good as it once was, SportsDevil is still one of the best addons out there for watching cable TV sports games.  You can also find links to FOX and all the other major American TV networks here as well.

If you don’t already have SportsDevil, read our guide to find out how to install it first before you proceed.

1.  Open up SportsDevil and click Live TV

3.  Click FOX

4.  As you can see, SportsDevil’s ibrod.tv FOX feed is up and running as well.  However, the video quality here isn’t as good as it is on Oblivion.

How to watch the World Series on your smartphone

If you have an Android phone, all you have to do to watch the World Series on your phone is download the Kodi Android app.  But if you have an iPhone, you’ll need to either gain root access and install Kodi via Cydia or try your luck with a complicated workaround.

Kodi for Android

Kodi is now available for free in the Google Play Store.  Just install Kodi, then install USTVNow or SportsDevil to stay up-to-date on World Series action when you’re out and about.

Kodi for iOS

If you’ve rooted your iPhone, you can use Cydia to install Kodi.  Just go to sourceseditadd.  Then, type in https://mirrors.kodi.tv/apt/ios/ to download the official app.

If your iPhone isn’t rooted, you can try a experimental hack that involves smuggling Kodi in using Xcode and the iOS Apple Signer.  To learn about this complicated installation method, check out Kodi’s official iOS installation guide if you want to give it a try.
