Before we Proceed

We highly recommend using a VPN when using Kodi. Kodi users have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, sports, and TV shows through various addons. If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish - a complete privacy solution for Kodi users. It's also worth noting that purchasing a 12 month subscription will give you two months free.

Looking for the Best Quality? Try FuboTV

Instead of hopping around for legally dubious options, you may want to consider FuboTV. FuboTV is a new entry into the live TV streaming market. What makes FuboTV unique is not only that it’s offering dozens of channels for a low cost, but also focuses more specifically on sports.

No other legal live TV subscription service offers as many sports channels as FuboTV for the same price, making this the perfect option for anyone that wants high-quality live sports streams. FuboTV also helps users avoid any suspicious download links and potential viruses, a boon for anyone who wants to stream sports without worrying about the source.

Best Live Sports Kodi Add-ons

There are a large number of live sports Kodi add-ons that you can use to access a variety of different sports channels. This list is subject to change, so be sure to check back regularly.

Sportie

Sportie is back and better than ever. With the revamped version of Sportie, you can do it all: look up live streams, snatch links from Reddit and even view recordings of recent games. Before Sportie came out, we thought Pro Sport was the best sports add-on around. However, Sportie can do everything that Pro Sport can do and more – plus it requires less configuration.

Pro Sport

Click here to access our Pro Sport installation guide.

If you don’t like Sportie’s endless menus and options, you may want to give Pro Sport a whirl. Unlike Sportie, Pro Sport requires you to plug in subreddits yourself – so if you’re not familiar with Reddit, Pro Sport may take some getting used to. However, Pro Sport does have a user-friendly section that shows you which games are currently available and streaming. There’s also a very well-developed and functional archive for replays, just in case you missed some games or couldn’t get streams to work.

USTVNow Plus

USTVnow

Click here to access our USTVNow Plus installation guide.

USTVNow Plus is a Kodi add-on that offers free TV channels for the primary OTA networks. This means you can get ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, and PBS. You can also access My9 through here as well. For sports fans, that means you’ll have access to all the different sporting events that air through those channels. Should you want to expand USTVNow further, you can pay the company for access to even more cable channels. With a paid service, you’ll get access to NBC Sports Network and ESPN 2 among the two dozen other channels offered.

If you want to use even the free version of USTVNow Plus, you’ll need to create an account on with their website. Go to their sign up page to create an account. When creating an account, be sure to do so with a dedicated email address, and avoid signing up using the integrated account option through Gmail or Facebook. If you do so, you won’t be able to login to your USTVNow account through the Kodi add-on.

The main downside to USTVNow is that all its broadcast feeds originate in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Additionally, sometimes the feeds cut out when many people use the service to watch the game. Also, you have to upgrade to get HD quality feeds. Free accounts can only access SD quality streams.

SportsDevil

Click here to access our SportsDevil installation guide.

SportsDevil has had it’s ups and downs, but we’ve found that you can still access this add-on for some good live sports content. SportsDevil is one of the more popular sports add-ons, offering an array of both live sports and on-demand games. Some streaming is even offered in HD. Many of the channels have localization requirements, which means that you may need to have an IP address in a certain country (ex. US, UK, etc. own ), to access the content.

As with most Kodi add-ons, the SportsDevil add-on acts more like a conduit. It does not house streams. Instead, it connects users to websites where streams are available. With a VPN, you can hop over geographic blocks and access all of SportsDevil’s streams.

BBC iPlayer (iPlayer WWW)

Click here to access our BBC iPlayer installation guide

The BBC iPlayer Kodi add-on, which is named iPlayer WWW, provides easy access to the BBC iPlayer content. For British residents with a TV License, accessing this content on Kodi actually makes it easier to cut the fat, so to speak, as the iPlayer page on the BBC’s website can be a bit bloated.

If you’re outside of the UK, you’ll need to use a VPN to access BBC iPlayer content. You’ll find a large amount of content on the BBC iPlayer with a well-developed section for live sports as well. Although the majority of the content will be UK sports, the BBC often airs sporting events from other countries as well. For example, the BBC live casts the NFL Superbowl each year, along with many other major US sporting events.

cCloud TV

cCloud TV is one of the best live TV add-ons around. This add-on has an absolutely massive live sports section, covering sports from countries around the world, to include the US, France, Russia, and the Middle East, among others. Most of the streams work, although you may run into an issue with American streams at times. Many American OTA channels and paid sports channels block streams quite aggressively. At the time of publishing, there are over 150 channels listed under the “Sports” section for cCloud TV.

Quantum (Formerly Sanctuary)

Quantum

Click here to access our Quantum installation guide.

We recently went back and did some major updates on our Quantum add-on review. The add-on had gone out of management for a time but was picked up by another developer. It’s now fully supported again, and the new developer is looking to add some new features along the way. One of the more significant changes to the add-on recently has been giving it a new name, changing the name from Sanctuary to Quantum.

If you are or were an Oblivion IPTV fan, good news: Oblivion is still alive! It’s just relocated. You’ll find Oblivion IPTV streams within Quantum. Oblivion has a large number of live streaming options, including access to sports streams. Oblivion has sports-dedicated streams, but these go offline at times. Your best bet will be to search through the live TV streams and find channels that are streaming live sports. That said, there is indeed a “Sports Channels” section within Oblivion to make the process easier. Within Quantum, you may also find other live TV streams from other options. Quantum has a large library of content, so you might discover a few hidden gems in the process.

There’s a good chance you’ll find a good amount of live sports content in general if you do a bit of digging through Quantum.

Goodfellas 2.0

Source: Flixed.io

Click here to access our Goodfellas 2.0 installation guide.

The Goodfellas 2.0 Kodi add-on is one of the best add-ons you’ll find for sports. This add-on not only has a large selection of live sports streams but also separates your options into the different sports sections that you may want. You’ll find menu options for MLB, NBA, UFC, American Football, NHL, Soccer, and motor sports. The biggest concern with this add-on is the amount of buffering with some of the streams, making it somewhat difficult to appreciate them at times.

Made in Canada IPTV

Click here to access our MiC installation guide.

The Made in Canada (MiC) Kodi add-on is focused primarily on Canadian, UK, and British content. However, you’ll find that the add-on has a large amount of content for those interested in sports streams from those three countries. A key reason why MiC is a good bet is its Sports Central section. There, you’ll find several different areas for sports viewing, which includes a section for major and minor sports events. You’ll even find some sports replays here in case you missed a game or two. Additionally, you’ll find sections specifically for hockey, baseball, lacrosse, and basketball.

FilmOn Simple

filmon
Source: Flixed.io

FilmOn Simple is the best place on Kodi to go if you’re looking for extreme sporting events and live streams for unusual sports. Not only is there a wide selection of extreme sports here, but you’ll find that the available streaming options are often difficult to find with other Kodi add-ons. That includes some UFC streams, several selections for MMA content, water sports, and even some sports bloopers.

To install FilmOn Simple, do the following:

  • Create a new tab on your browser and copy the following address to download the FilmOn zip file: https://github.com/kodil/kodil/blob/master/repo/plugin.video.filmon.simple/plugin.video.filmon.simple-0.1.7.zip
  • Open up Kodi
  • Go to Add-ons
  • Select the Package symbol (top left)
package symbol
Source: Flixed.io
  • Click on Install from zip
  • Find the zip file in your downloaded files location. Click to install
filmon simple
Source: Flixed.io
  • You will get a successful installation message on the top right of your screen. Afterward, you can find the add-on among the other Video Add-ons

Note: You can also find this add-on in the SuperRepo Repository. However, we do not recommend using SuperRepo as your primary option, as it may not contain the most updated version of the add-on.

Rising Tides

rising tide
Source: Flixed.io

The Rising Tide Kodi add-on has several sections dedicated specifically to watching live sports. In addition to soccer highlights, you’ll also find a section for live soccer matches. There’s also a section that includes sub-sections for 15 different sports genres, including some rather rare options such as darts and horse racing. Unfortunately, some of the sections are empty of any content at the moment. The NFL section, for example, lacks any streams, as does the boxing section. This may change in the future as popular events come and go. Your best option for sports watching is the Sports Channels section. There are over 208 options available for those looking for live sports streams.

To install Rising Tides, do the following:

  • Open Kodi and go to System Settings (gear symbol, top left)
  • Click on File manager

  • Select Add source
  • Select  <none> and type in or copy/paste the following address exactlyhttp://mullafabs.comli.com/Plugins

  • Give it the name Rising Tides and click OK
  • Go back to your Kodi home screen and click on Add-ons

  • Select Install from zip
  • Locate your Rising Tides link, and select it

  • Click on plugin.video.Rising.Tides.zip to install the add-on. You can now find it with your Video add-ons

Be sure not to be confused by the installation options in the folder. You’ll find another, separate folder with the same name but lacking the “zip” file path. Ignore that one, and only go for the option with the zip file.

Falcon

Source: Flixed.io

The Falcon Kodi Add-on also has a dedicated sports section. When installing this add-on, you’ll find that there’s also one named “Falcon Sports” in the repository. The “Falcon Sports” add-on simply feeds you the same sports content available in the regular Falcon add-on, meaning there’s no real need to install that version of the add-on. We recommend just installing the regular version and accessing the sports section from there.

Falcon Sports covers a wide range of sports options, although these are not always categorized well. For example, you’ll find a menu just for the Shadownet.ro website, as well as one for the MamaHD site, but a lack of sections that specify sports by genre (such as “basketball” or “soccer”). Most of the menus in the Falcon Sport section have the same content, so you’re likely to find different menus offering the same streams.

As far as its offerings, Falcon TV rivals cCloud TV, both in the quality of the streams and in terms how many options are available.

To install Falcon on Kodi, do the following (if you need images, check the Project M installation above):

  • Open Kodi and go to System Settings (gear symbol, top left)
  • Select File manager
  • Select Add source
  • Select <none> and type in or copy/paste following address exactlyhttp://mwiz.co.uk/repo
  • Name it Mr Wiz and click OK
  • Return to your Kodi home screen and select Add-ons
  • Click on the Package symbol (top left)
  • Click on Install from zip
  • Find your Mr Wiz link, and click on it
  • Click on the repository.merlin.zip file to install the Merlin Repository
  • Return to the screen with Install from zip, and then click on Install from repository
  • Find and click on the Merlin Repository
  • Select Video add-ons
  • Select Falcon and then click Install
