fuboTV Channels

If you want to watch Galavision without cable, and are also interested in English-language channels, fuboTV is a great option.

You’ll get Galavision as as well as a number of other Spanish-language channels like Univision, NBC Universo, and Unimas. You also get plenty of English-language programming and sports networks, like Fox Sports, Eleven Sports, and eight beIN Sports channels, as well as NBC Sports.

Overall, fubo TV offers a good variety of Spanish-language channels, so it’s a good way to watch Galavision without cable. Learn more here.

fuboTV Supported Devices

Device support for fuboTV is really good. You can watch Galavision without cable on your laptop or your iOS and Android devices when you’re on the go. When you’re at home, you can choose between the Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku. Learn more here.

fuboTV Simultaneous Streams

As far as simultaneous streams go, fuboTV provides users with the industry-standard 2 device streaming policy. If you’d like to stream on more devices, you can add a $6/month “Family Share” add-on which bumps your concurrent streams to 3, or you can upgrade to a higher-tier subscription. This is a bit pricey, but it’s nice to have the option. Learn more here.

fuboTV DVR

fuboTV has pretty good features.  This includes a cloud DVR, which can be used to record up to 30 hours of content. If that is not enough space for you, you can pay a $10/month or upgrade to a higher-tier subscription for a DVR upgrade, which will net you an absurd 500 hours of DVR space – enough for 250 soccer matches.

If you forget to record a show, you’ll also be able to make use of the “Lookback” feature, which lets you view most shows and sporting events up to 72 hours after they were originally aired. This is a nice bonus for those who may sometimes forget to set their DVR. Learn more here.

fuboTV On-Demand Library

fuboTV has a good selection of on-demand shows from its partner networks and cable channels, including some on-demand Galavision and Univision content. Learn more here.

Watch Galavision on AT&T TV Now

Source: DirecTV Now

AT&T TV Now is the new name of DirecTV Now. This service is owned by AT&T and is a reasonably good way to watch Galavision without cable. Its features are not quite as good as fuboTV, and it doesn’t have as many Spanish channels, but it does have a better lineup of English channels. Here’s what you need to know about AT&T TV Now.

AT&T TV Now Pricing and Packages

AT&T TV Now offers a total of six different packages, as follows:

  • Plus: 40+ channels / $65 per month. Includes HBO
  • Max: 50+ channels / $80 per month. Includes HBO, Cinemax
  • Entertainment: 65+ channels / $93 per month
  • Choice: 85+ channels / $110 per month
  • Xtra: 105+ channels /  $124 per month
  • Ultimate: 125+ channels / $135 per month

To get Galavision, though, you’ll need to purchase the $93/month Entertainment plan or a pricier plan, making this a much more expensive choice compared to fuboTV. You can get a full breakdown of what’s included in each package here.

AT&T TV Now Channels

This package includes Galavision as well as Univision. If you upgrade to the Choice package, you’ll also get UniMas. The Xtra package includes NBC Universo, and if you spring for the highest-priced Ultimate package, you’ll get Univision Deportes.

Overall, AT&T TV Now has a better selection of English-language sports and entertainment channels than fuboTV, but if you want major Spanish-language channels, you’ll pay a lot more for a lot less than you would get with the fubo or fubo Latino packages. Learn more here.

AT&T TV Now Supported Devices

AT&T TV Now also has good device coverage, on-par with most other internet TV services. You can stream in your web browser and on modern iOS/Android devices, as well as the Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, and Roku. Learn more here.

AT&T TV Now Simultaneous Streams

You can watch AT&T TV Now on up to 2 devices at once by default. You can upgrade this to 3 devices with an additional $5/month fee. Learn more here.

Until the middle of 2018, AT&T TV Now didn’t have a DVR at all – even for an extra fee – despite the fact that all of their competitors offered a cloud DVR.

Now, though, all AT&T TV Now subscribers get a DVR, but it’s a bit disappointing, to say the least. You can store 20 hours of content, and there is a 30-day time restriction, after which your recordings are deleted whether you’ve watched them or not. Learn more here.

AT&T TV Now On-Demand Library

AT&T TV Now has a great selection of on-demand content including TV episodes of recently-aired shows, and a solid lineup of movies, as well as some past seasons of top TV shows. You can get more details here.

If you have a subscription to fuboTV or AT&T TV Now, we’ve got some good news! You can also watch Galavision using the Univision NOW website, or through the Univision NOW App, which is available for iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, and Chromecast.

All you have to do is sign in using your login information for fuboTV or AT&T TV Now. Your login will function just like a cable login would, allowing you to watch Galavision without cable using your internet TV provider information.

What’s the benefit of doing this? The primary reason you may want to use the Univision NOW website or app is because it won’t count against your simultaneous streams when you use AT&T TV Now or fuboTV.

In other words, if two of your family members are watching content using your AT&T TV Now subscription, you normally wouldn’t be able to watch Galavision without cable – unless you kick someone off. However, if you log into the Univision Now website or app, you can watch live TV without exceeding your 2-device limit. It’s just a nice way to get a bit of extra flexibility, particularly for people who have larger families.

You Can Get Univision (But Not Galavision) With an OTA Antenna

Unfortunately, Galavision is a cable-only channel. That means unless you have a traditional cable subscription or one of the above recommended internet TV services, you won’t be able to watch it.

But Univision, the parent network of Galavision, is not a cable network. It’s an Over The Air (OTA) network. That means that, like NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC and The CW, anyone who has an OTA antenna can pick up the station, and watch it for free.

If you’re looking to watch Spanish-language programming without cable, you may be able to use an OTA antenna to get stations like:

  • Univision
  • Telemundo
  • EstrellaTV
  • Azteca America
  • LATV

The networks that you can get depend on your location. If you live in an area with a large population of Spanish speakers, chances are that you’ll be able to get most – if not all – of these networks, for free, using an OTA antenna. You can check which channels you’ll receive at Antennaweb. For more information about OTA TV, and purchasing and setting up an OTA Antenna, you can take a look at these articles from Flixed:

Why was Galavision Pulled from Sling TV?

Source: Sling TV

It may be a bit surprising that Sling TV, which has a large variety of other Spanish channels like EstrellaTV, Azteca America, ESPN Deportes, NBC Universo, Cine Latino, Cine Sony, Hola TV and quite a few other such channels doesn’t have Galavision or Univision.

Well, this wasn’t always the case. A few years ago, in June 2015, Sling TV did offer Galavision, as well as Univision, UniMas, Flama, Univision Deportes, Telenovelas, Foro TV, and El Rey, through the “Paquete Total” and “Paquete Esencial” packages.

However, according to Sling, these channels had to be removed from the service, as Univision demanded a “massive” rate increase for carrying the channels, and Sling TV did not believe that they could offer the channels at a competitive price.

This may explain why more expensive streaming services, like fuboTV and AT&T TV Now can afford to carry Univision and Galavision. It remains to be seen if Sling TV will add these channels back in the future.

What’s on Galavision?

Galavision has very diverse programming. From news to telenovelas, live coverage of soccer matches, comedy shows and more. Here are a few of the top shows and events broadcast on this cable-only Spanish network.

Galavision has broadcast hundreds of telenovelas. Some of the most famous, currently-running telenovelas on the network are:

  • Amar a Muerte
  • Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia
  • En Tierras Salvajes
  • Tenías que ser tú

Galavision airs a number of well-known Spanish comedy shows and sitcoms, such as Los Cousins, Nosotros los guapos, Vecinos, and Renta congelada.

News & current events

Galavision often airs news programming such as Aquí y Ahora (Here and Now), an investigative show that got national attention – and a Peabody Award – when it covered the “Fast and Furious” scandal, which involved American ATF agents purposefully selling illegal firearms to buyers in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America.

Soccer coverage

If you prefer to watch Spanish-language broadcasts of major international soccer leagues, Galavision is the best option, by far. It has coverage of the following leagues:

  • CONCACAF Champions League (through 2022) – This annual competition includes all of the top soccer clubs in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, with a total of 16 teams vying for the title every year.
  • Liga MX (through 2020) – Univision owns the Spanish language broadcasting rights to the Mexican Primera Division for 17 out of 18 Liga MX teams. These games are shown across Univision Deportes, En Vivo, and Galavision, and on the Univision Facebook page.
  • Bundesliga (through 2020) – The Bundesliga is the top tier of German soccer, featuring world-renowned teams like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and FC Schalke.
  • UEFA Champions League (through 2021) – The UEFA Champions League is widely considered to be the most prestigious soccer competition in the world. Every year, the Champions League brings together the top teams from the Union of European Football, including the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1, to battle for the title of the best European soccer club.
  • UEFA Europa League (through 2021) – The Europa League is is the second-tier competition of the UEFA, below the Champions League, but it’s still a highly-competitive league, featuring some of the best teams from all across Europe.
