Before we Proceed
We highly recommend using a VPN when using Kodi. Kodi users have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, sports, and TV shows through various addons. If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish - a complete privacy solution for Kodi users. It's also worth noting that purchasing a 12 month subscription will give you two months free.

UK Turk Playlists add-on walkthrough
When you first start the add-on, you’ll be presented with this menu.
By default, it’s displayed as an icon wall. If you prefer, you can change that to a list. Simply click Options at the bottom left then click Viewtype to change it to WideList.
The main menu has the following entries:
- Live TV
- TV Shows
- Stand-Up Comedy
- Turkish TV
- Turkish Movies
Each of these sections is loaded with quality content. We’ll try to give you an overview of what you can find in the most interesting ones.
Before we begin, let’s sidetrack a little and talk about Acestream. Some of the channels available within UK Turk Playlists are Acestream channels and require that the Acestream app be installed on the machine where Kodi is installed. Acestream is an internet-based platform for streaming content that is available as a Windows or Android app. Personally, I’m not a big fan of having to install things outside of Kodi so I prefer to stay away from the Acestream streams. Most of the content is available without it anyway so it shouldn’t be a showstopper. and furthermore, any content that does require Acestream is clearly identified.
All content that requires Acestream is still listed within the UH Turk Playlists add-on even if you don’t install it, allowing you to defer installation until you really need it. When and if you decide to install Acestream, all you need to do is go to their website, click the download link at the left for the windows application or the “Get it on Google Play” button for the Android app and install it. It’s that simple.
Also, as you navigate through the different sections of the add-on and click on content, you’ll often be presented with a list of several sources. You must simply select any one from the list. This is a great feature that shows the care that was taken by the developers to bring you the best of content. Streaming sources on the internet come and go and they are sometimes hosted on unreliable servers that go up and down. With multiple source selection, you increase your chances of finding a source that actually works when you need it.
Enough sidetracking now, let’s see what we can find in there.
Live TV section
In this section, you’ll find a list of about 150 different live IPTV feeds from TV stations all over the world. Of course, you’ll get UK broadcast and cable TV stations. You also have access to most—if not all—major US TV channels—cable or broadcast. You’ll find all the major networks, the public networks, and many of the specialized channels. You’ll also get quite a few international stations from France and Russia, among others. Another nice feature of this section is that some selection will propose different country-based versions of the same channel. For example, when clicking on a channel that has both a US and a UK version, you would be presented with a selection box like the one below.
This is where sports fans will find what they’re looking for. There are over a hundred different live sports channels in here. Note that as indicated at the top of the list, viewing some of them requires the Sportsdevil add-on.

Let’s see what’s available in here. You’ll find Football, hockey, basketball, baseball, auto racing, horse racing, tennis, golf, name it. The selection is simply impressive.
Another element worth noting in this section is that all the Acestream channels are nicely grouped together at the end of the list, making it easier to ignore them if you chose not to install Acestream.
This section is very well laid out. It has subsections per decade (the 60s, 70s, 80s, you get the point). It also has several categories that make locating content easy. For instance, there’s the Box Sets Movies category for collections to put multiple installments of the same series in one place. There are also subsections for all sorts of movies including War Movies, Westerns, Martial Arts, Horror, Disney movies, Christmas movies, and many others.
All in all, there are 36 subsections in there, the first one being New Movies where you’ll find recent releases. There’s even a section for 3D and 4K movies.
This is possibly the most interesting section of this add-on, although I must admit that it is a matter of taste. As with previous sections, it is very well organized. There are sub-sections for New Episodes of TV shows, Catch Up of TV Shows, Classic TV Shows, and Current TV shows.
The New Episodes of TV Shows sub-section will list all the TV shows that were added in the past week. If you’re following a show week after week, this is a good place to find it. The next subsection, Catch Up TV Shows, give you access to the last few episodes of currently airing shows. As for the Current TV Shows sub-section, it contains individual lists of episodes for TV shows that are currently airing, arranged alphabetically. Finally, Classic TV Shows give you classic TV shows from the early 2000s.
This is where you’ll find several cartoon series. They are presented in alphabetical order, except for the new entries which are at the top. You’ll find classic cartoons from as far back as the fifties and more recent ones as well. It also includes some kids programs that are not cartoons per se but still fit well into this category. In all, there are over 100 cartoon series to choose from.
Documentaries, Stand-Up Comedy & Concerts
The next three sections offer specialized content. Under Documentaries, you’ll find hundreds of videos under close to 50 categories arranged by director, by producer or studio or by subject (war, nations, biography, wildlife, sports, etc.).
The Stand-Up Comedy section gives you close to 600 selections of stand-up comedy. It includes individual routines and complete shows by famous—and not so famous—stand-up comedians as well as a few stand-up comedy TV shows and series from the US, UK, and Australia.
As for the Concerts section, it is just that, a list of close to 700 concerts some as recent as from this year and some as old as from the 70s. Pop singers, crooners, rock bands, folk artists, R & B, there is content for almost everyone
This is somewhat like the Live TV section but with Turkish channels. I don’t speak Turkish so I can’t really comment on these. However, the section is quite diverse, with over 150 channels being available to you.
This section presents a big list (almost 350 at the time of this writing) of Turkish films or films with Turkish dubbing or subtitles.
The Favorites section of this add-on is one that I absolutely love. Too often have I found myself browsing a big add-on such as UK Turk, seeing something I like and making a mental note to get back to it. The problem is that I’m usually not able to find it again or when I do, it takes me considerable time. With the Favorites feature of UK Turk, whenever you see something you like and want to be able to quickly find it later, just right-click it and select Add to UK Turk Favorites.
An add-on offering so much content can be overwhelming when you’re looking for something. This is where the UK Turk search feature comes in handy. Simply click the Search category and enter your search term. The add-on will look through its thousands of available selections and present you the results. It can take a little while, which is understandable considering the size of the add-on, but it’s still way faster than searching by hand.
Pros and cons of the UK Turk Playlists add-ons
One of the main thing this add-on has going for it is the breadth of its content. From movies, to TV shows, to documentaries and cartoons – this addon has it all. Also noteworthy is the source network UK Turk pulls it’s content from. With an array of different sources, the likelihood of finding a working and high quality stream is quite good .The favorites list is also one of the best UK Turk features. It provides an easy way for users to flag down their favorite show for later. And finally, the search functionality on UK Turks is exceptionally precise and allows for easier navigation.
But just as there are things to love about UK Turks Playlists, there are a few things that are more problematic. One of them is the relatively small number of live HD sources. In fact, out of the several streams we attempted to access, many of them left something to be desired in terms of picture quality. Additionally, unlike other add-ons which scrape the internet in real time to show you a list of sources for a given channel, the sources list in UK Turk is only updated when the add-on itself receives an update. Lastly, the reliance on Acestream for some sources is also a drawback. On the other hand, given the relatively small number of channels that require it, it might not be that bad after all. Even if you decide not to install it, you won’t miss much.
What if you don’t like UK Turk Playlists add-on?
Perhaps you’ve gone through this walkthrough, only to find that UKTurks might not be for you. Or perhaps you’ve tried it and didn’t quite like it. Everyone has different tastes and needs.
