The rise of esports has led to an expanding ecosystem of apps and websites to support the growing fanbase. An esports data API would let you give your customers access to information, stats and live updates. With hundreds of competitive games, thousands of tournaments and millions of fixtures, the last thing you want is to stitch everything together yourself. We know from experience developing our own streaming data services what a nightmare that would be.
These seven esports data API providers do the hard work so you can use a single API for everything. Check them out below and find out more about Flixed’s esports API plans
Dedicated esports data API providers
These are companies that specialize in providing esports data. The amount of data that each match generates is much larger than in traditional sport. On top of that, the kinds of data vary from esport to esport and change as developers enhance their games.
By-gamers-for-gamers esports data API providers have the expertise and systems in place to provide the most detailed real-time data feeds. Since these are B2B services that focus on betting operators, media and other industries, you must contact most of them to discuss tailored solutions.
Abios
Sweden-based Abios has been providing esport data APIs for eight years. The company’s products include historic data and live data feeds, visualizations, probabilities and compliance services. The CS:GO team Gambit Esports uses Abios data to create content for its fans. Betting service Unibet use Abios widgets to enhance player experiences.
The Abios data API provides deep data about teams, players, tournaments and matches. The 22 game roster includes LoL, Dota 2, CS:GO, Overwatch, PUBG and more. You can get play-by-play data for LoL, Dota 2 and CS:GO. The Abios odds API covers 40,000 markets and 3,000 matches across all 22 games.
Bayes eSports
Online betting service Pinnacle and eSports giant ESL are among the clients of Germany’s Bayes eSports Solutions. The company offers solutions for the media industry, bookmakers, sportsbooks and others.
Thanks to direct relationships with Riot Games, ESL, Dreamhack and Beyond the Summit, the Bayes API generates accurate and timely data. Feeds include live statistics, in-game predictions, pre-match odds and live odds.
GameScorekeeper
Danish company GameScorekeeper was founded in 2016 with the goal of making esports data fast, reliable and accurate. GameScorekeeper serves a range of clients in the betting and media industries.
The company’s coverage of more than 1,100 leagues and tournaments gathers data from 30,000 matches a year. Game franchises include LoL, CS:Go, Dota 2 in addition to Arena of Valor, Honor of Kings and Valorant.
GameScorekeeper’s betting odds API provides more than 750 pre-match and in-play markets as well as historical data.
Pandascore
PandaScore, a six-year-old French startup, has built systems that collect and process more than a million data points a year from ten top games. Its coverage includes CS:GO, LoL, Dota 2, Rocket League, Valorant, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, Overwatch, PUBG, FIFA and King of Glory.
The PandaScore Stats API can provide pre-match, live and historical data for most of the games it covers. A free, fixture-level feed provides static data, match schedules and pre-match data on tournaments, teams and players. You can add a feed of historical data for €150 per game per month. To add live data, the base plan costs €500 per game per month with limited live stats. More complete options are also possible.
PandaScore’s Odds API provides pre-match odds and in-play markets for esports’ top titles. Their in-house data science and trading teams ensure that their AI-generated data is as accurate as possible before sending to clients.
Sports API providers with esports data APIs
Companies that started out serving traditional sports markets now offer esports data APIs. This is an advantage if you want a single API to cover football, tennis and several esports. However, their feature set and coverage may not be as comprehensive as pure esports data API providers.
Goalserve
Goalserve has been providing traditional sports data for sixteen years and expanded to offer esport coverage of ten titles: CS:GO, Dota 2, LoL, StarCraft, Overwatch, FIFA, NBA2K, NHL20, CyberTennis and SRL.
If all you want is Goalserve’s eSports API, the company offers monthly, semi-annual and annual plans. These plans start at $100, $500 and $1000, respectively. You get schedules, odds comparisons, live score data and game stats.
Pinnacle Solutions
Online betting company Pinnacle created Pinnacle Solutions to make its capabilities available to other businesses. The company’s 33-game coverage includes CS:GO, Dota 2, King of Glory, LoL, Overwatch, Rainbow Six and more.
Pinnacle Solution’s iFrame API provides data and odds in dozens of other sports as well. Whether for a simple information feed or a complete betting solution, Pinnacle can work with a wide range of customers.
SportRadar
In addition to its traditional sports feeds, the SportRadar API provides basic information about CS:GO, LoL and Dota 2. The data includes schedules, team profiles, player profiles, results information, summaries. For CS:GO matches, SportRadar provides a little more detail including maps and kill details. Contact SportRadar for pricing.
Automation tools for esports betting
Traditional online betting operators offer APIs so their high-volume players and market makers can automate their betting activities. Companies like Pinnacle and Cloudbet that let you bet on esports offer automation APIs. However, these APIs do support esports-specific features. The structure of esports tournaments and the nature of gameplay are just too different.
