If you’re trying to find out how to stream Telefe, that means that you’re probably a soccer fan. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better streaming service for soccer than fuboTV. The company behind fuboTV is a startup, which makes it unique compared to the other streaming services. Originally, fuboTV specialized in niche sports and didn’t offer any other type of programming. Now, it’s one of the very best cable alternatives you can buy. In addition to getting channels like Telefe that are hard to find elsewhere, you also get live 4K streams, apps for nearly every TV device and above average features.

fuboTV Pricing and Packages

The cheapest fuboTV plan is fubo Standard, which comes with over 90 channels and costs $55/month. The next rung on the ladder is fubo Family ($60/month), which has the same core channels but adds an extra simultaneous stream and expanded recording functionality. fubo Entertainment ($70/month) is the same as fubo Family, only it comes with nine different Showtime movie channels. fubo Ultra ($80/month) has all the above mentioned perks, plus you get 21 extra channels with it.

Unfortunately, none of the base plans listed above include Telefe. To get it, you have to pay $8/month more for the Latino Plus channel expansion pack. There are several other channels packs you can buy, as well. International Sports Plus ($6/month) comes with five soccer channels and costs $6/month. With Adventure Plus ($5/month), you get five different channels that feature hunting and other similar outdoor sports. Latino Plus ($8/month), RAI Italia ($8/month) and Portuguese Plus ($14/month) cater to Spanish, Italian and Portuguese speakers.

fuboTV Channels

Roughly half of the channels that you get with any fuboTV base plan are sports channels. The other half of the channel menu has a mix of different entertainment options, ranging from news to sports and more. The Latino Plus add-on pack– which you need to buy if you want to get Telefe– also comes with Fox Deportes, GolTV Spanish, TyC Sports, CNN Espanol, BabyTV HD, Sony Cine, Fox Life, El Gourmet, Mas Chic, Nat Geo Mundo, Nuestra Tele, Tres, Discovery Familia and Discovery Espanol.

fuboTV Supported Devices

fuboTV has above average device support:

  • TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up), Amazon Fire TV and TV Stick (1st gen and up), Chromecast and Roku (2, 3 and 4)
  • Smart TVs: Android TV (4.4 and up)
  • Game consoles: None
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android and iOS
  • Desktop browsers: Most Mac and PC browsers

fuboTV Simultaneous Streams

fuboTV only lets you watch TV on two devices at once by default. However, there are several ways to squeeze more account sharing flexibility out of your account. One way to do this is by getting fubo Family, which comes with a third simultaneous stream. If you don’t care about getting the DVR expansion that comes with that plan, you may want to skip it and get the standalone $6/month simultaneous stream expansion instead. You can also use your fuboTV credentials to unlock TV Everywhere apps and use those to watch TV instead of the main fuboTV app.

To learn more about fuboTV’s simultaneous streaming policy, check here.

fuboTV DVR

All fuboTV subscribers get a free DVR. The default recording limit is 30 hours. If you need more recording time, you can get the Cloud DVR Plus upgrade. That costs $10/month more and extends your recording limit to 500 hours. The fubo Family subscription plan comes with both the simultaneous stream upgrade and Cloud DVR Plus.

fuboTV On-Demand Library

Though fuboTV does offer some on-demand content, most of the titles you’ll find will be recently aired TV shows. However, there are a few hundred movies to choose from as well.

Watch Telefe on Sling TV

Sling TV fxx without cable

The creators of Sling TV designed their streaming service to appeal to people that hate paying for cable TV channels that they never watch. After you pick one or more base channel packages, you can customize your TV viewing experience with a huge array of inexpensive channel add-on packs. This lets you narrow down the amount of channels you have to buy if you’re only interested in getting a few. One of Sling TV’s expansion packs is called SudAmerica. It only costs $5 and comes with Telefe and 13 other Spanish-language channels. That makes Sling TV one of the cheapest ways to stream Telefe without cable.

Sling TV Pricing and Packages

New Sling TV subscribers have three options. You can either choose between the two different base plans, or get both for a discount. If you get one base plan, you’ll pay just $25. Alternatively, you can get both for $40.

Sling TV Channels

Sling Blue currently has 48 channels. With Sling Orange– the other base plan– you get 33 channels. There is no clear thematic difference between the two base plans. Both include a selection of various news, sports and general entertainment channels. The best way to decide which base plan to get is to look at the channel lineup yourself.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll need to get the SudAmerica channel expansion if you want to get Telefe. Other channels that you get when you buy that expansion include Bolivia TV, Caracol, El Trece Internacional, ELTV, Nuestra Tele, TV Venezuela, Canal Sur, Ecuavisa, Estudio 5, NTN24, RCN Novelas, Toto Noticas and TyC Sports.

Sling TV Supported Devices

Given that Sling TV was one of the first streaming services to hit the market, the fact that it has great device support probably won’t surprise you:

  • TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up), Amazon Fire TV (all versions), Chromecast, Roku (LT and up), AirTV.
  • Smart TVs: LG TV (Web OS 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0, as well as select 2016-2018 models), Samsung TV (2016 through 2018 models), Android TV (4.4 and up), Roku TV, Mi TV.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android (4.4 and up),  iOS (11 and up), Amazon Fire (tablets).
  • Game consoles: Xbox One.
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome is recommended for use with Mac and Windows.

Check here for more info on Sling TV’s supported devices.

Sling TV Simultaneous Streams

One of the biggest downside of Sling TV is that its features are very restrictive compared to the competition. None of the channels that come with Sling Orange can be streamed to more than one screen at a time. Sling Blue channels can be streamed to three screens through one account simultaneously, though. There are no upgrades that you can buy that will give you more wiggle room, either.

There is one workaround that you can use to squeeze more value out of your Sling TV account, though: TV Everywhere. A large number of TV Everywhere apps will accept your Sling TV credentials. Once unlocked, you can use TV Everywhere apps to circumvent Sling TV’s stingy account sharing limits.

To learn more about Sling TV’s simultaneous streams, click here.

Sling TV DVR

Yet another feature shortcoming of Sling TV is its lack of a free DVR. You have to pay $5 extra each month for the ability to record content. Even after you buy the DVR upgrade, you won’t be able to use your DVR with any Sling Orange channel.

Sling TV On-Demand Library

As is the case with fuboTV, Sling TV’s on-demand catalog can’t match what Netflix, Hulu and other on-demand specialists offer. Most of what you get is recently aired TV show episodes.

Watch Telefe with AT&T TV NOW

When AT&T TV NOW first came out, it had very limited features– but at least it had a large menu of channels and low prices. A recent upgrade increased prices across the board and changed the entire face of the streaming service. All the budget subscription packages are gone. However, a new DVR gives AT&T TV NOW subscribers the ability to record their favorite programs. You can get Telefe through AT&T TV NOW, but only if you get the $86/month Optimo Mas plan.

AT&T TV NOW Pricing and Packages

The first two subscription plans you’ll notice when you land on AT&T TV NOW’s website are Plus and Max. Plus is the cheapest option, but it still costs $50. Max comes with 10 more channels, but costs $20/month more.

If you click the “Other Packages” tab, you’ll find a few more plans: Entertainment ($93/month), Choice ($110/month), Xtra ($124/month), Ultimate ($135/month) and a Spanish-centric option called Optimo Mas ($86/month).

  • PLUS: 40+ channels, $50/month
  • MAX: 50+ channels, $70/month
  • Entertainment: 65+ channels, $93/month
  • Choice: $85+ channels, $110/month
  • Xtra: 105+ channels, $124/month
  • Ultimate: 125+ channels, $135/month
  • Optimo Mas: 90+ channels, $86/month

AT&T TV NOW Channels

As mentioned earlier, the only AT&T TV NOW plan that has Telefe is the $86/month Optimo Mas plan. Other popular channels that come with that plan include ESPN Deportes, Univision, Fox Deportes, Cine Estelar, Viendo Movie and Discovery Espanol.

AT&T TV NOW Supported Devices

AT&T TV NOW has fairly good device coverage:

  • TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up, 5th gen and up for 4K), Amazon Fire TV (2nd gen and up, 1st gen for Cube), Chromecast (2nd gen and up), Roku (most models).
  • Smart TVs: Samsung TV (2017 and 2018 models), Android TV (4.4 and up), Roku TV (7000X), Mi TV, Amazon Fire TV edition smart TV (2nd gen and up), Chromecast Built-in TV.
  • Gaming consoles: None.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android (5.0 and up),  iOS (10 and up), Amazon Fire (tablets).
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome and Safari recommended.

Click here to learn more about AT&T TV NOW’s supported devices.

AT&T TV NOW Simultaneous Streams

Like Sling TV, AT&T TV NOW is somewhat stingy when it comes to account sharing. The default simultaneous stream limit is two screens. That means that you can let one friend or family member watch TV with you though your account at the same time as you. If you need more flexibility, you can get a $5/month simultaneous stream upgrade that expands that limit to three devices.

To learn more about AT&T TV NOW’s streaming policy, click here.

AT&T TV NOW DVR

When AT&T TV NOW first came out, it lacked a DVR. A recent upgrade gave AT&T TV NOW subscribers the ability to record up to 20 hours of TV programming. While it is nice that AT&T decided against forcing their users to pay to get the DVR, the fact that there are no upgrades that give you more recording time is somewhat limiting.

AT&T TV NOW On-Demand Library

AT&T TV NOW has a bigger on-demand catalog than both Sling TV and fuboTV. According to the AT&T TV NOW website, the streaming service has over 40,000 titles. However, there is a downside to consider: commercials. You’ll see an ad every 15 minutes when you watch on-demand content through AT&T TV NOW. There are no paid upgrades that get rid of those ads, either.
