Sling TV launched in 2015 and is one of the oldest internet TV services out there. If you have questions about the price of Sling TV in 2020, you’re in the right place. In this article, we’ll discuss Sling TV’s costs, its history of price hikes, paid add-ons and extra fees, and everything else you need to know. Let’s get into it now.

How Much Does Sling TV Cost?

Currently, Sling TV is available in two packages, called “Sling Orange” and “Sling Blue.” Both packages have different channels, but cost $30/month each. When Was the Last Time Sling TV Raised Its Prices?

Sling TV raised its prices most recently in December 2019. At this time, the cost of Sling Blue and Sling Orange jumped from $25/month to $30/month, and the cost of the Sling Orange + Blue package increased from $40/month to $45/month.

Before this, Sling TV raised its prices only once since it was first established in 2015. The Sling Orange package, which includes ESPN and some other top channels, increased in price from $20/month to $25/month in August 2018.

Does Sling TV Have Any Paid Add-Ons?

Yes. For one thing, you don’t get a free DVR with Sling TV. You’ll have to pay $5 to unlock a 50-hour cloud DVR. It’s not exactly a hidden fee, but it would be nice if the DVR was included in the cost of your subscription.

In addition to that, Sling TV has an “a la carte” business model, which allows you to add dozens of individual channels and packages to your subscription for an additional fee. For a full lineup of these channels, you can check out this article.

Does Sling TV Have Extra Hidden Fees?

No. Unlike with a traditional cable or satellite subscription, Sling TV does not have any extra fees for things like equipment rental, installation, or when you want to cancel your contract. All of the costs for your subscription are clearly shown when you sign up, and there are no extra fees.

Does Sling TV Offer a Free Trial for New Users?

Yes. You can try Sling TV for free for a week, and see if you like the service. To get signed up, you can just head to its website, choose the package you want, and enter your credit card details. Your card will not be charged until your trial is over, so make sure to cancel it before 7 days are up, or you will be charged for a full month’s subscription.
