Sling TV is one of the oldest internet TV streaming services on the market. At just $30 per month for 30-45+ channels, you’ll find this option is a good one to consider if you’re cutting the cord. Thankfully, it’s longevity on the market means it’s had time to expand its available apps. If you’re considering making Sling TV your option for streaming TV, here’s a complete list of Sling TV’s supported devices.

What Devices Work with Sling TV?

You can use the Sling TV with all of the following devices:

  • TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up), Amazon Fire TV (all versions), Chromecast, Roku (LT and up), AirTV,
  • Smart TVs: LG TV (Web OS 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0, as well as select 2016-2018 models), Samsung TV (2016 through 2018 models), Android TV (4.4 and up), Roku TV, Mi TV,
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android (4.4 and up),  iOS (11 and up), Amazon Fire (tablets)
  • Game consoles: Xbox One
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome on Mac and Windows recommended

Can I Use Sling TV on Other Devices?

Sling TV’s mixture of supported devices is a bit of an oddball. For example, the service only recommends Chrome browsers, although you may still be able to use it on other web browsers, including Microsoft Edge and Safari.

If you plan to try to use Sling TV on any browsers or operating system versions not mentioned, it may work, but you may also experience limited functionality.

Why Use Sling TV?

Sling TV offers a good mixture of sports, entertainment, and news. You can also choose between two core packages which both come in at $25 per month or combine both for $40 a month and 50+ channels.

Sling TV also sells a cloud DVR for $5 per month extra, and you can stream on up to 3 devices at once if you’re using Sling Blue, though only on a single device with Sling Orange.

In addition, Sling TV offers a number of device deals and occasionally offers discounts for new subscribers. In most cases, you’ll get a 7-day free trial unless you sign up via a special discounted deal.

Other Great Streaming Services

Sling TV’s device support is great, but you can also add a few other services to the mix that could help supplement what’s not available on Sling TV.

Disney+ works on almost every device you can use with Sling TV, for example. It includes a wide selection of Disney-owned content, including Disney classics, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and many others.

Meanwhile, you can sign up for Hulu for that service’s extensive and unique on-demand library with original content, or get Hulu as part of a Hulu+Live TV package.

For more sports, ESPN+ offers a wide selection of live and on-demand sports streaming from US and international sports leagues. ESPN+ also has exclusive access to UFC matches and events.
