When Was the Last Time PlayStation Vue Raised Its Prices?
In July of 2019, PlayStation Vue announced that it would be raising its prices on all of its existing plans by $5/month, citing “increased costs” for carrying cable channels as the primary reason.
This is not much of a surprise. Before this, PlayStation Vue only had experienced a few price hikes. Its packages had only increased in price by about $10 since it launched in 2015, which is much less compared to some other services like DirecTV Now, which have fluctuated wildly. If there’s a silver lining here, it’s that PlayStation Vue probably won’t increase in price again for another year or so!
Does PlayStation Vue Have Any Paid Add-Ons?
While there is no way to enhance the features of PlayStation Vue, such as its DVR or simultaneous streaming policy, you can get some additional channels with paid add-ons like the “Sports Pack,” and you can also get some premium cable channels like FX+ and Epix Hits with PlayStation Vue.
This is optional, though, so there is no need to pay for anything beyond your basic subscription unless you want these channels.
Does PlayStation Vue Have Extra Hidden Fees?
No. Like all of the other major internet TV companies, PlayStation Vue is available as a commitment-free, month-to-month subscription service with no hidden fees or other costs. You won’t have to pay to cancel your subscription or to have cable or satellite equipment installed in your home, which is one of the reasons this type of service is so popular.
Does PlayStation Vue Offer a Free Trial for New Users?
Yes. If you are interested in PlayStation Vue and you would like to get a free trial, you can sign up at its website right away. You’ll need to provide your credit card details to unlock your trial, but you won’t be charged until it runs out. Do note, though, that PlayStation Vue only offers a 5-day trial. Most other companies offer at least a 7 day trial, so don’t be caught off-guard, and make sure you cancel your subscription in time if you want to avoid paying for a month of service.
