PeopleTV and Twitter’s upcoming interactive TV show, The Chatter, will revolve exclusively around Twitter’s users. Viewer tweets and polls will drive the show’s hosts as they cover the latest events and pop culture.
“Our past collaborations with Twitter have been very successful,” Time CEO Rich Battista said in the announcement. “This exclusive series was created specifically for Twitter’s highly-engaged audience.”
Twitter COO Anthony Noto described The Chatter as “an all-new, exclusive, nightly program and expert coverage and analysis from marquee events.”
The Chatter premieres on April 16 at 8pm ET. The hosts will introduce the latest pop culture topics. As tweets come pouring in, they will react to the viewer input.
Battista added “We take great pride in creating an interactive series that draws on People’s esteemed editorial talent and trusted reporting.”
