If you have an app or website that caters to NFL football fans, then you may have thought about supporting their interest in NFL betting odds. But getting the data can’t consume developer time or budgets. The Flixed team feels your pain. While developing data services such as our regional sports network programming guides, we keep an eye open for interesting sports APIs that can make life easier. We found these NFL betting odds APIs that should come in handy for projects of any scale.
Sports Odds APIs
These companies have done the hard work of unifying APIs from dozens of bookmakers into a single, easy-to-use set of APIs. You can engage your users with the latest odds, live play updates and more.
The Odds API
Data from more than 50 bookmakers are available through The Odds API. In addition to the NFL, you can get odds and other data for NCAA football and a dozen other sports. A free plan lets you kick the tires with a monthly 500-request limit. A mid-tier plan will run $49 per month with 90,000 requests.
OddsJam
OddJam consolidates sports odds from more than 35 sportsbooks in the US and around the world. Robust infrastructure processes more than a million odds per minute across nine major world sports including football. Unlike some APIs that only support a handful of betting markets, OddsJam’s rich data set lets your project access more than 5,000 markets.
Betting Platforms
Providing betting services to your users is no easy task. Besides managing odds and bets, there’s a host of industry-specific issues you need to address. Most jurisdictions set know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements. You will need systems for additional regulatory compliance. These companies provide the resources and expertise you need to build front-end and back-end systems to support online gambling.
SBTech
SBTech is owned by fantasy sports and sports betting operator DraftKings and offers a productized version of the DraftKings infrastructure. SBTech’s Sportsbook APIs let you feed your users data on more than 50 sports and handle more than 2,000 betting markets. Whether you’re building a mobile app, enhancing a website or building betting kiosks, SBTech’s solution can power it all.
ZenSports for Businesses
ZenSports for Businesses lets you combine sports betting with the benefits of cryptocurrency. Built on the ICON blockchain, the ZenSports betting app provides a decentralized betting exchange using Bitcoin, fiat currency or the in-house Sports token. The project’s professional services work with developers to integrate the ZenSports infrastructure for mobile and online applications.
Betting APIs
Individual sportsbooks and betting exchanges often provide APIs that let you tap into their sports information and betting systems. In many cases, these APIs are targeted at their own high-volume professional players who want to automate their betting. In other cases, the APIs could let you integrate the exchange’s betting operations into your website or app.
Betfair
British online betting exchange Betfair covers more than two dozen sports including American football. Professional players and commercial developers can join the Betfair Developer Program for access to the exchange’s API. A free pricing option lets you get started and test your code with delayed data feeds. Access to live updates requires a £299 activation feed. Both of these options are tied to a Betfair account. However, Betfair has a licensing program that commercial developers can use.
Pinnacle
Although regulatory concerns led Pinnacle to withdraw from the US market, the online betting service still includes American football in its sportsbook. Its high-volume customers can access the Pinnacle GitHub repository to start working with the exchange’s API. Commercial developers can also access Pinnacle’s data through the exchange’s B2B arm, Pinnacle Solution. The iFrame API supports 33 currencies and 13 languages with more than 45 sports and 53,000 monthly live events. Contact Pinnacle Solution for terms and pricing.
Cloudbet
Another decentralized betting platform, Cloudbet runs on the Bitcoin blockchain and lets players bet with many different cryptocurrencies. The exchange’s sportsbook supports bets on NFL games along with a host of other US and international sports. Cloudbet’s high-volume players and affiliates can use the API to get odds and live updates as well as place bets.
