Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+ (or Disney Plus), is set to launch this month. However, Disney plans to make a gradual international launch, meaning that the service won’t be available everyone at once. For Disney fans in Canada, however, there’s good news to be had.
When Will Disney Plus Come to Canada? November 12!
Disney+ is officially launching in Canada on November 12. Consequently, November 12, 2019, is also the launch date for the US and the Netherlands. That means that Canadian fans will be among the first to gain access to Disney’s much-anticipated library of content, as well as the new original content set to be available for immediate streaming.
What Titles Will Be Available in Canada at Launch?

In a massive October tweetstorm, Disney provided every piece of content that will be available through its service starting in November 2019. OVer 600 Disney-owned movies and TV shows will be ready within the on-demand library once the service becomes available in Canada, the US, and the Netherlands.
If you happen to have 3 hours to spare, Disney also put out a preview video showcasing every title available at launch, as well.
Importantly, there are a few key titles you’ll want to make sure you don’t miss out on (and which Disney+ will almost certainly heavily promote in its interface). These include:
The Mandalorian
A Star Wars universe live-action series that will be available at launch.
Noelle
A movie in which Kris Kringle’s (Santa Clause’s) daughter must save Christmas.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
A TV series a high school troupe putting together a High School Musical movie.
Lady and the Tramp
A retelling of the classic dog love story, delivered through CGI and live-action.
Disney+ will also feature a range of content across other genres, including animated cartoons, and non-fiction material. Notably, Disney is including a fair amount of National Geographic content (National Geographic is a Disney property). The company is producing original content for its National Geographic arm as well, including a new series starring Jurassic Park‘s Jeff Goldblum, titled, The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
