DAZN 2019 Boxing Events

DAZN has signed deals with some of the biggest boxing promoters in the world, including Matchroom Boxing, World Boxing Super Series, and Golden Boy Promotions. Let’s take a look at the boxing segment of the DAZN 2019 events schedule now.
August 2 – Anthony Fowler vs. Brian Rose
The much-anticipated bout between junior middleweights Anthony Fowler (9-1-0, 8 KOs) and Brian Rose (31-5-1, 8 KOs) is going to take place on August 2, 2019, at the Exhibition Center in Merseyside, Liverpool, UK.
Fowler, who recently suffered his first defeat at the hands of Scott Fitzgerald in March, will be looking to bounce back as he fights Rose, a former British champion who is six years his senior, and is a much more experienced combatant.
The main fight undercard is to begin at 1:00 pm EST, with the main card slated for a 4:00 PM start. This fight will be streamed on DAZN in the US, and on Sky Sports in the UK.
August 10 – Vergil Ortiz vs. Antonio Orozco
On August 10, Vergil Ortiz (13-1-0, 13 KOs) and Antonio Orozco (28-0-1, 17 KOs) will meet in the ring thanks to Golden Boy Productions. This junior welterweight event will take place at The Theatre at Grand Prairie.
Hometown hero Vergil Ortiz Jr. will be returning to Grand Prairie, TX for this bout to face Antonio “Relentless” Orozco, a 31-year-old contender who fought for the Super Lightweight Champion title against Jose Carlos Ramirez in September, 2018.
The event will be streamed on DAZN, so make sure you sign up for a subscription if you’re interested.
August 24 – Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Dewayne Beamon
This bout will be to determine the winner of the WBC Super Flyweight Title, and is between Juan Francisco Estrada (39-3, 26 KOs) and Dewayne Beamon (16-1-1, 11 KOs), and is being held at the Centro de Usos Múltiples in Hermosillo, Mexico.
Estrada, the current WBC Super Flyweight Champion, will be defending his title against Dewayne Beamon, who is most well-known for his 48-2 record at an amateur level, and has now risen as a serious title contender who has competed in multiple weight classes.
The event will be streamed on DAZN in America, and on Sky Sports in the UK.
Bellator MMA

Bellator MMA has signed a deal with DAZN giving it access to a number of exclusive Bellator MMA events, as well as simulcast coverage along with Paramount TV (formerly Spike). If you love MMA and Bellator, check out this DAZN events schedule with all of the currently-announced Bellator events.
August 24 – Bellator 225 Mitrione vs. Kharitonov 2
Bellator 225 will be taking place on Saturday, August 24 at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT. Prelims will begin at 6:45 PM ET, with the main card beginning at 9:00 PM, streaming on DAZN.
The main event of Bellator 225 is the heavyweight bout between American Matt Mitrione (13-6-0) and Russian Sergei Kharitonov (28-6-0). Their previous meeting in Bellator 215 ended in a “no contest” judgment, thanks to a leg kick from Mitrione that accidentally contacted the groin of Kharitonov, leaving him unable to continue the fight.
September 7 – Bellator 226 Bader vs. Kongo
Bellator 226 will be taking place on Saturday, September 7 at the SAP Center in San Jose, CA, and will be streamed on DAZN. Prelims begin at 6:45 PM ET, with the main card beginning at 10:00 PM ET.
The main event will be the heavyweight world title match taking place between American Ryan Bader (27-5-0) and French Cheick Kongo (30-10-2). Bader, who won the title when he defeated Fedor Emelianenko in Bellator 214, will be defending his title against Frenchman Kongo who, at 44, is still a serious threat in the ring. Given that Bader is currently on a 7-bout win streak that leaves him undefeated in Bellator MMA, it will certainly be interesting to see the results of this match, which will be streamed on DAZN.
September 27 – Bellator 227 Gallagher vs. Ellenor
Bellator 227, AKA Bellator Dublin, will be held at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Friday, September 27, and will be streamed on DAZN. The prelims will begin at 6:30 PM ET, with the main card beginning at 9:00 PM.
The main event for Bellator 227 is the bantamweight bout between Irish James Gallagher (9-1-0) and UK-born Cal Ellenor (7-2-0). The co-main event for this series will be a bout between Myles Jury and former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson. Henderson, who has won 3 bouts in a row, faces Jury, who lost his previous 2 bouts before joining Bellator from rival fighting organization UFC.
September 28 – Bellator 228 Pitbull vs. Archuleta
Bellator 228 will be taking place on Saturday, September 28, and will be held at The Forum in Inglewood, CA, with prelims beginning on DAZN at 7:00 PM ET, and the main card beginning at 9:00 PM ET.
The main event of Bellator 228 will be the Featherweight WGP Opening Round World Title match between Brazilian Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (29-4-0) and American Juan Archuleta (23-1-0). Freire will be defending his Featherweight title against Archuleta, who has won all 5 of his Bellator bouts so far. Supporting fights include Lyoto Machida vs. Gegard Mousasi, a rematch of their 2014 bout in the UFC that is sure to be a big attraction for MMA fans.
October 4 – Bellator 229 Koreshkov vs. Larkin
Bellator 229 will be taking place on Friday, October 4 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The main card will begin at 9:00 PM ET on DAZN.
The top-billed bout will be between Russian Andrey Koreshkov (22-3-0) and American Lorenz Larkin (20-7-0). Originally, this fight was to take place at Bellator 219 in March, but Larkin had to withdraw due to injury. Mike Jasper, his replacement, was defeated in a unanimous decision by Koreshkov. Larkin is currently on a 2-bout winning streak after a rough 0-2 start to his Bellator career.
October 12 – Bellator Milan Sakara vs. TBA
Bellator Milan, which is also expected to be numbered Bellator 230, will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Milan at Allianz Cloud Arena. The main card will begin at 4:00 PM EST, and will be streamed on DAZN.
Currently, the only confirmed fighter for the main card is light heavyweight Alessia Sakara (20-13-0), an Italian who won three straight victories to begin his Bellator career, before losing in Bellator 190 to Rafael Carvalho. Most recently, Sakara lost his bout in Bellator 203 to Kent Kauppinen in December, 2018.
