With its new package changes, you may be considering canceling your AT&T TV Now subscription and replacing it with a lower-cost service. We’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know to cancel your AT&T TV Now subscription without hassle.
How to Cancel Your AT&T TV Now Subscription
You can easily cancel your AT&T TV Now subscription from any device, but we recommend doing it from a desktop or laptop computer, as apps sometimes offer a limited view of your subscription settings.
*Note: Some images may refer to “DirecTV Now”. AT&T’s cord-cutting service was previously called DirecTV Now. The name was changed in early 2019.
1. Go to your settings (top right corner gear symbol)
2. Click on “Account Details” above the User ID (email address)
3. Select “Manage subscription”
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “I want to cancel”
5. Select “Continue to cancel”
6. Optional: Negotiate for a lower subscription price in the chat box on the right
7. Click on “No need to chat, just cancel”
Can I restart my AT&T TV Now subscription later?
AT&T TV will let you restart your account at any time. Once you cancel, you can still watch for the remainder of the month which you paid for, or for the remainder of your free trial period. After the service canceled, you won’t be charged until you reactivate your account.
Are there are any good AT&T TV Now alternatives?
AT&T TV Now’s newly slimmed-down channel package and higher price make it a bit of a gamble for those who don’t want or need HBO. Sling TV offers a similar, slim approach at a lower price, but you may also want to consider options such as fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Philo, YouTube TV, or AT&T WatchTV.
